Core Subjects

There are 15 subjects that all SHS will take. Two of these are different if you are under the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) strand.

Oral Communication in Context

It is through communication that people are able to express their thoughts and ideas or convey information and messages through word of mouth, gestures and signals, signs, and others.

Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Pilipino

Pag-aaral tungo sa pananaliksik ukol sa kalikasan, katangian, pag-unlad, gamit at paggamit ng Wikang Filipino sa mga sitwasyong komunikatibo at kultural sa lipunang Pilipino.

General Mathematics

is the broad field of basic mathematics. It includes math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. ... There are many fields of study and professions that require an understanding of general math including accounting, statistics, and economics.

Earth and Life Science

It presents the history of the Earth through geologic time. It discusses the Earth's structure, composition, and processes. Issues, concerns, and problems pertaining to natural hazards are also included. It also deals with the basic principles and processes in the study of biology.

Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Region

The subject covers various contemporary arts practices of the region where the school is located. It aims to provide students with an appreciation of a broad range of styles in the various disciplines with consideration on their elements and principles, and engage them to an integrative approach in studying arts.

Literacy is your ability to read and write. These skills are important for school, at work, and at home. Speech-language pathologists, or SLPs, can help you learn to read and write.

Statistics and Probability

Probability and statistics are the mathematics used to understand chance and to collect, organize, describe, and analyze numerical data. Students need this mathematics to help them judge the correctness of an argument supported by seemingly persuasive data.

21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World

21st century literature per se, is anything that was written and published in the year 2000s. It is a bit too early to give a definite and elaborate description of the 21st century literature in the Philippines and the world.

Physical Science

Physical science is the study of the inorganic world. That is, it does not study living things. (Those are studied in biological, or life, science.) The four main branches of physical science are astronomy, physics, chemistry, and the Earth sciences, which include meteorology and geology.
